Lisam Reinforces Safety Assessment Skills in Cosmetics
08 March 2019
Congratulations to our colleagues Belinda Berry, Eulalie Hemberg and Isil Teoman for successfully passing the “Safety Assessment of Cosmetics in the EU” training programme! The course was held in the Brussels VUB (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) from February 3rd to February 9th, 2019 and was conducted by Vera Rogiers co-chair of the SCCS (Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety) at the EU level. In all, the course welcomed 78 participants from 27 different countries among which delegates from the government organizations from Belgium and Switzerland.
The intensive lectures were given by experts from well-known cosmetic companies or by academic scientists providing a high level of academic standard. Many of the participants told us that they attended the course because, even though they have their own requirements, they use the EU model as it proves to be the most comprehensive from a risk assessment point of view and continues to offer the best global regulatory guidance.
This certification of three of our colleagues now puts Lisam at the forefront of understanding the EU regulatory requirements and allows us to meet our customer needs not only in the EU but also globally.
